Austen Smith have undertaken to support a chosen charity annually. This year we are getting ready to give our support to MAMA NTOMBI'S COMMUNITY PROJECT. Mama Ntombi’s was founded in 2007 and is caring for about 450 children at the Jika Joe and Ezinketheni Informal Settlements.
Our modus operandi is to divide the year into six months, the first leading up to Mandela Day in July, and the second leading up to Christmas / Year end celebration time. Our staff show their support in the form of donations requested on the Charity's "wish list". The partners of Austen Smith then match the donations to which we then, on Mandela day and year end time, present to the charity in the form of "love boxes".
Last year we gave additional support to Abrina Esther House, a shelter for women and their children who have suffered abuse, in the form of donating two computers and legal advice provided by two Professional Assistant Attorneys.
We also have a comprehensive onsite recycling project, with bins divided into glass, paper and plastic and twice a year we host the SANBS blood drives.

We can continue to serve abused women and their children, and provide them a with loving, nurturing, safe and healthy place to stay with dignity and grace because of you. We are writing to express our deepest thanks for the donation of two computers to our organisation. It will go a long way to inspire our women in improving their lives through computer literacy. The Legal advice provided by your two Professional Assistant's benefited all who attended. They were excellent in how they handled our women and gave a lot of valuable information.
