Documents may be sent by post, DX or e-mail to our addresses. Austen Smith uses both WordPerfect and MS Word. Return of paperwork by disk or e-mail is available. Unless otherwise agreed documents will be forwarded to you in PDF format which means that while you can comment on the document no unauthorised changes may be made.

The partner’s are willing to discuss any aspect of the firm’s procedure and fee charging in an effort to accommodate individual requirements. We also recognise that certain litigation requires a particular approach, and will seek to match counsel both on expertise and personality. Austen Smith is able to offer first class reception and conference facilities. Our dedicated conference rooms have facilities for every requirement and the demands of all forms of legal practice.
Austen Smith is willing to discuss and enter into block agreements for particular areas of work, and operates client service protocols. These protocols seek to regulate the level of service (particularly the return of paperwork) and meet the changes to the legal services market with the necessary flexibility.
We monitor the receipt of paperwork and the required date of return. We aim to meet clients’’ requirements wherever possible, but if when instructions are received there is a possibility that the required deadlines may not be met we will telephone without delay. Client’s affairs are not allowed to remain unattended.
