General Power of Attorney

Do you need a General Power of Attorney?

A General Power of Attorney is usually used if, for example, you are going to be out of the country and you want a family member or friend to handle your affairs for you.

This could include signing cheques, opening bank accounts, attending meetings and dealing in property. It gives very broad powers and should only be given to someone that you trust. They can literally do ANYTHING in your name and bind you to accept the consequences.

BEFORE COMPLETING THIS DOCUMENT BE SURE THAT YOU ARE SATISFIED THAT THE PERSON YOU ARE GIVING THE POWER TO IS COMPLETELY TRUSTWORTHY.
